Speaking of Jesus, John Wimber said, ‘I am small change in his pocket. He can spend me any way he wants.’ What does it mean ? Perhaps this question filled the heart of Jesus himself as he rode through the Gates of Jerusalem for the last time, ready to be spent once and for all for the friends he had then and the friends he has now. Looking at the events of Palm Sunday we reflect on our willingness to be God’s small change.
