The famous and wonderful message that Jesus would like to come in and sit and eat with us if we will just open the door to him, comes in the middle of a pretty scathing tirade against the church in Laodicea. Using Paul’s second letter to the Colossians and the passage in Revelation, let us explore together the good news that despite our messes, despite our susceptibility to wrong teaching, despite our reluctance to believe his promises, he is still waiting and still wanting to come into the very centre of our lives.
